I have reinstalled drivers, taken away my computer's ability to pull power from USBs to save power.I'm at a loss as to whether this is a problem with the pedal itself or with the USB or a software problem with Windows that is just coming up now. In the printers and devices, it still reads has being plugged in. A couple of days ago, I did have a couple of instances of hearing these sounds back to back without my touching the USB but those were the first times that had happen and it hasn't been reproduced. I hear the disconnecting/connecting sounds. I have to unplug it from the USB and then plug it back in to make it work - and it generally does not work for long.
It's reading that it is plugged in, but I can't use it. According to Express Scribe, my pedal is still plugged in.
My problem is that it's function keeps dropping out.
(Though only actively using it for about 14 months.) The foot pedal itself is an Infinity and I have had it for about 2 years in August/September. I am currently using a Dell Inspirion running Windows 7 and it's about 4 to 5 years old, but I switched out the harddrive a few years back. I work from home in medical transcription and am having some issues with my foot pedal, used to control Express Scribe Pro in starting/stopping/rewinding the audio dictations that I recieve.
